Pilates Certification - The Personal Requirements

To earn a Pilates certification means to embark upon a career path that requires much interaction with people. The focus of this course is a history of the Pilates method, and how different Pilates moves benefit the body in different ways. Other topics include learning the proper form of each Pilates move, how to perform the exercises for the class, the name of each Pilates exercise, and the most efficient way of performing verbal cues in regards to the exercises.

Pilates Mat 2 Certification

This certification is for those who have successfully completed the Mat 1 certification and wish to teach more advanced classes. The goals of this course include learning how to choreograph certain pilates moves to make them harder, and tailoring certain moves for people in certain categories, such as the elderly.

Pilates certification courses are very varied and can be taken in many different ways but the shortest and often the most effective way is to take an intensive course. It has been shown that learning new skills in an intense but short period of time is easier for most people than spreading a training out over a number of months or years.
